The Whisperer in Darkness is a new feature-length film based on the short story by the godfather of the modern horror genre, H.P. Lovecraft. The story centers around Albert Wilmarth, a young professor who becomes interested in reports of strange organic forms floating in the rural mountain streams after the historic Vermont floods. He investigates and soon becomes involved with Henry Akeley, a reclusive hermit who has discovered the horrible secret behind the strange bodies. The two become involved in a horrific conspiracy that threatens not only the two of them, but all of humanity as well. It resolves in one of the most terrifyingly disturbing climaxes in literary history!
